Overview

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of complex building services projects across commercial, residential, and mission-critical sectors.

This position offers the opportunity to take a leading role in project delivery, technical decision-making, client engagement, and team development while contributing to high-profile projects in a rapidly growing market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across major projects

• Develop design strategies, system concepts, and technical solutions

• Work directly with clients to define project requirements and expectations

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

• Support project planning, resource allocation, and delivery forecasting

• Maintain high standards of technical quality and engineering best practices

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

• Support the growth and development of engineering teams and project capabilities

Requirements

Required

• Significant experience in electrical engineering design for building services projects

• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems design

• Experience leading engineering workstreams and project delivery

• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong coordination and leadership abilities

• Experience working within a consultancy or design-focused environment

Preferred

• Experience with Revit and BIM workflows

• Knowledge of Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM, or similar engineering tools

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers

• Commercial awareness and project delivery experience

Compensation

• Base Salary: £43,500 – £56,500

• Travel Allowance: £4,560

• Permanent Full-Time Position
