Bridge Project Manager

Overview

An established engineering organization is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure and bridge projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior bridge engineer who is transitioning into a project management leadership role and is ready to take on greater responsibility for project delivery, client relationships, team leadership, and business growth.

Projects range from medium-sized infrastructure assignments to large-scale transportation and design-build initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and structural engineering projects from planning through delivery

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients

• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams

• Provide technical oversight and review of engineering deliverables

• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks

• Manage consultants and project stakeholders

• Prepare project reports, presentations, and financial updates

• Support staff development through mentoring and coaching

• Participate in business development and proposal activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering focus preferred)

• 10+ years of bridge and structural design experience

• Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Project management experience within transportation or infrastructure projects

• Strong leadership and client communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with transportation agencies and public infrastructure projects

• Design-Build and alternative project delivery experience

• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams

• Experience working on large-scale transportation infrastructure programs

Work Schedule

Hybrid schedule:

• 3 days in office

• 2 days remote

Compensation

• Base Salary: $140,000 – $170,000

• Performance Bonus Eligibility
